Franchise!?
Q. Can I own more than one type of franchise at a time? For example, after getting my bachelors in business... can i open a dippin dots at 22 in vegas, then when i'm 23 open a Auntie Anne's shop? then when i'm 24 open a restaurant? and manage them all at the same time? Thanks for your help! Also, if there's already an Auntie Anne's shop in the fashion show mall in Vegas, can i buy the franchise from the current owner even if their contract isn't over yet? Also, anyone know about how much profit or revenue each of these small shops make? estimates?

A. I have seen places that have several franchises under one roof. We have here places that are KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell all under one roof. I recommend for a franchise Handel's ice cream. It is rated one of the top ten ice creams in the world and whenever I get to Ohio I find one. They have franchises now and there are always lines. Bill Cosby has them ship him their maple walnut once a month. I am crazy about the chocolate lovers chunky chocolate. Here's the link. It's much better than the other ice cream franchises. If you open up one in Las Vegas, I will visit it. If you get the ice cream you will know what I mean about the quality of the product.

What are the best publications for purchasing and running a franchise?
Q. The best answer will be chosen based on who can give the most comprehensive answer, which includes books, websites and magazines. PLEASE do NOT include websites that you have to pay to locate franchises or purchase franchise rights, or how to work from home and become a billionaire in a month. I'm only in the research phase at this point. Tips from current franchise owners, specifically fast-food are the MOST welcome.

How do I sell my product to a franchise?
Q. For a school project we need to come up with a product. My product would be sold to a lot of franchises like McDonald's, Burger King, etc. Do I pitch my product to franchise owners or corporate headquarters? Are there any legal issues I need to consider while I sell service and products to upgrade the pos systems of these restaurants.
